A question for those who DON’T think of themselves as artists…
Although I don’t know anymore what I think about the words “art” and “artist” because, like so many words, they have become laden with so many different colors, flavors and unintended meanings that to use them invites cancerous misunderstanding, I choose to use them now for the sake of brevity. Therefore, to all those who do not consider themselves “artists,” those who do not make pictures, sculptures, arrange words, movements or engage in the making of “art,” what is it about art that makes you stop and pay attention? What is it that you look for in an artistic piece or expression? What is it that floats your aesthetic boat?
